Global AgriSystem started Indian operations as Cebeco India Private Limited in 1998 as a joint venture with the Royal Cebeco Group Co-operative, the Netherlands. Royal Cebeco Group Co-operative, the National Agriculture Holding Co-operative with 29 regional co-operatives and over 100 operating companies had an annual turnover of over Euro 8 billion contributing to over 50% of Dutch agriculture. Since June 2003, the name of the company has changed to Global AgriSystem Private Limited in view of its changed role and ownership.

Mr. Gokul Patnaik as Chairman is the head of Global AgriSystem. Mr. Patnaik has worked on developing Indian agri business in various roles including as Chairman, APEDA where export growth was 700% during his tenure. Mr. Patnaik is also credited with creating notable Public: Private Partnerships in the Agri Business sector including engineering the landmark partnership between PepsiCo and Punjab Agro. Mr. Patnaik continues to be active in various roles in identifying opportunities, framing policy, fostering growth and creating partnerships. |
Mr. Sunil Sharma, Managing Director has in-depth experience of the Indian Agriculture. Mr. Sharma has worked in senior positions across the key agricultural sector public organisations such as General Manager, APEDA, Executive Director, National Horticulture Board and Punjab Markfed. Mr. Sharma specialises in Agri Infrastructure projects including Wholesale Markets cum Auction Centres, Food Supply Chains, Marketing Centers, Food Industry and Storage – Transit Systems. |
